Save A Pet’s Life: Adopt, Don’t Shop
Published on January 15, 2021
Huntsville Animal Services has so many lovable dogs in the Shelter that there is more than enough best friends for everyone to adopt. These beautiful and happy canines need to be in a home with a family who can give that one-on-one attention and care. Because there are so many adult dogs, the adoption fees have been reduced to $10, $15 and $20 beginning Friday, January 15, through the end of the month.
Remember, a Shelter is a temporary placement for pets waiting to go into a permanent home. These dogs need the community to help by visiting and adopting.
If you cannot adopt a dog, help promote the pet by “Fostering to Rehome” and sharing fabulous photos stories on Facebook. All the dogs are spayed or neutered, vaccinated against rabies and other diseases, microchipped for identification in case they become lost, checked for heartworms, and receive a city license. Please take a chance and adopt a Shelter dog today.
Visit the Shelter during operating hours. Visit our website and search for adoptable pets under Adopt and Foster or complete a foster application. There are some restrictions with the number of people entering the building, but staff is available to help you find the perfect pet for you and your family when visiting.
The Animal Shelter is located at 4950 Triana Boulevard in Huntsville and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
