The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) needs the public’s help finding the person responsible for critically injuring a man in a hit-and-run incident on Hobbs Island Road on Thursday, Dec. 12 just after 5 p.m.
HPD Investigators believe it is a Chevrolet pickup truck from the 1990s or early 2000s with a two-tone paint scheme: maroon on top and gray or white on the bottom. The truck is equipped with a ladder rack and toolbox in the truck bed. The vehicle likely has damage to the front driver’s side and is missing a headlight.
The vehicle was last seen leaving the scene of the accident, heading west on Hobbs Island Road. It then turned south onto Memorial Parkway and continued into Morgan County.
The victim is still receiving treatment at Huntsville Hospital.
