Huntsville Parks & Recreation launching new system for easier access to programs and facilities
Published on January 2, 2025
Huntsville Parks & Recreation will soon transition to a new online reservation system designed to make it easier for residents to register for programs and reserve community facilities.
Launching Jan. 14, the new user-friendly platform will allow families to create and manage accounts, browse a comprehensive online catalog of offerings and quickly secure spots for a variety of activities, from reserving athletic fields to fitness classes.
The system offers several benefits for both residents and staff. Users can now create and edit family accounts, simplifying the process of signing up multiple members for programs or events. The online catalog features an easy-to-navigate interface where residents can register for programs and rent facilities, such as pavilions, shelters and meeting rooms, all from one central location.

In addition to providing greater convenience, the new system allows residents to view the availability of parks and facilities, check calendars and manage reservations at any time. The system also supports online and in-person payment options, making it easier to pay fees, view account statements and print receipts.
The first step to accessing the new platform is to create an account. Other capabilities, including program registration and facility reservation, will be available starting March 1. It’s important to note the platform will only create new accounts for users who have a Huntsville address.
“We’re excited to offer this new platform, which should provide significant benefits not only for our residents but also for our staff who process numerous registration forms and reservations each week,” said James Gossett, Director of Huntsville Parks & Recreation. “As our department continues to grow and expand its offerings, this system will help streamline our processes and improve the overall experience for everyone involved.”
