Know Before You Go!

DOWNTOWN EVENT PARKING – APRIL 25-27, 2025

The City of Huntsville, Von Braun Center (VBC) and Arts Huntsville want to make your visit in and out of downtown as smooth as possible for the Panoply Arts Festival as well as for the many downtown events at the VBC, from Friday to Sunday, April 25-27.


GETTING THERE

Motorists are encouraged to use the Jefferson/Washington Street exit off I-565 to enter downtown.

Huntsville Police will be managing traffic flow throughout the weekend. Plan to arrive early and leave plenty of time to park and get to your destination.

The following streets will have full or partial lane closures:

  • Williams Avenue westbound lane, between Church Street and Dr. Joseph Lowery Boulevard
  • Monroe Street northbound lane, between Williams Avenue and Clinton Avenue
  • Church Street from the Huntsville Museum of Art to Garage M, 100 Church Street

PARK & RIDE: FREE SHUTTLES

Huntsville Transit will provide FREE shuttles to ferry passengers to and from parking areas to the event venues. Busses run every 15 minutes.

  • Friday, April 25, 2 – 10 p.m. (Route 1)
  • Saturday, April 26, 7 a.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 27, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

PARKING

View the downtown parking map below to see the location of available parking decks/surface lots and their walking distance to Panoply and the VBC. Parking attendants will be on-site to help guide you to the closest available parking. On-street parallel parking will be free throughout the weekend. Cash or credit is accepted in City parking garages and lots.

Public Parking Decks

  • Garage A – City Hall/Fountain Circle entrance, 305 Fountain Circle, 10-minute walk. $10
  • Garage B – Fountain Circle entrance off Williams Avenue, 318 Fountain Circle, 5-10 minute walk. $15
  • Garage D – Holmes/Greene Street Parking Deck, 132 Greene Street, FREE Orbit Shuttle, 15-minute walk. FREE
  • Garage M – Clinton Avenue behind Hampton Inn, entrance 100 Church Street, 5-minute walk. $15
    Note: This garage opens at 10 a.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday.
  • Garage O – Clinton Avenue entrance between Jefferson and Washington Streets, 116 Clinton Ave., 10-15-minute walk. $10
  • Garage T – Pelham Avenue entrance at Twickenham Square, 300 St. Clair Avenue, 15-minute walk. $1 every two hours – max cost $4

Public Parking Lots


Access to VBC provided parking will be from Clinton Avenue. Fee is $15. Credit card only.

P1 – Saturn Ballroom Parking Lot: Access to Saturn Ballroom, Rhythm on Monroe, Mars Music Hall, Mark C. Smith Concert Hall and Playhouse. Entry is from Clinton Avenue.

P2 – South Hall Parking Garage: Covered parking garage with indoor access to all venues. Enter from Clinton Avenue. Turn onto Pollard Street and follow signs into garage.

P3 – East Parking Lot (limited)/Box Office:  VBC Administration, Box Office, Mark C. Smith Concert Hall, East Hall, Rhythm on Monroe, Mars Music Hall, and Propst Arena. Access into the East Parking Lot/Box Office is from Monroe Street.

P5 – Parking Lot V:  Saturn Ballroom, Rhythm on Monroe, Mars Music Hall, and South Hall. Access from Clinton Avenue.


Many surrounding businesses will also open private parking lots for patrons during the April 25-27 weekend. These parking options are not associated with the City and fees will vary. The public is asked to use caution when parking in an unstaffed lot; private property owners can have vehicles towed.


Patrons attending the Comic and Pop Culture Expo have access to free, all-day parking at one of four convenient locations. The Orbit shuttle bus will provide transportation to and from the VBC every 15 minutes.

Public garages and parking lots have designated handicapped spaces.

Von Braun Center:  There is limited ADA parking available at the 700 Monroe Street entrance, but drop-offs and pick-ups at this location are welcome. Please note Monroe Street will be southbound traffic only.

Panoply:  Huntsville Utilities drive-through lane will be available for drop-off and pick-ups. Enter at 112 Spragins Street and exit north onto Church Street.
