September 9, 2024The recreation center on Martin Road is set for construction after City officials joined Council Member Meredith at a groundbreaking ceremony. The center will feature two basketball courts, two volleyball courts and three indoor pickleball courts as well as three exterior pickleball courts. Meredith expressed his appreciation to the City administration and his fellow Council members for their support.

September 4, 2024The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) charged a 16-year-old with capital murder after a shooting on Max Luther Drive at 4:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3. An HPD officer responded to Huntsville Hospital after three gunshot victims arrived for treatment. One of the victims died at the hospital.
