Help document, preserve Huntsville’s Black history during Preservation Month event
May 11, 2023The City of Huntsville invites citizens to a unique event focused on identifying, documenting and preserving our community’s Black history. May 8, 2023The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has charged Devone Edward Modacure, 48, with murder following a shooting incident on Sunday, May 7. HPD officers responded to the 4100 block of Knight Road around 4:40 p.m. and found Harrison Sonny Hayes, 57, with gunshot wounds. Hayes was pronounced dead at the scene.
