Green Team celebrates Earth Month with community events

Earth Month is here, and Huntsville’s Green Team invites residents to join the celebration at two upcoming events. The annual Spring Plant & Cleanup Supply Giveaway is Friday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at John Hunt Park in the parking lot of the Jaycee Building at 2200 Jaycee Way. The City of Huntsville’s municipal offices and Municipal Court will close Friday, March 29, in observance of Good Friday. City offices will reopen Monday, April 1, at 8 a.m. Because garbage collection occurs Monday-Thursday, there is no change to service. Huntsville Transit will operate a normal schedule on Friday for both Orbit fixed-route buses and Access paratransit services.
